Bloggers I Love – Part 1 | Beauty In Beta

Howdy lovlies,

I hope you’re well?

There’s been a lot of rubbish negativity going round the blogosphere recently, and it’s making me sad! So I thought I’d put together a little post of bloggers that literally make me smile and I love, like a lot, and you should definitely go and read!

Of course there are so many bloggers I love, but I’ve just picked 10 for now out of my list, and I’m going to do another post soon. 🙂

Joanna Loves

Jo was one of the first bloggers that I met and she is flipping amazing.Seriously look at the pictures below, she’s absolutely gorgeous. She does amazing OOTD’s and make up looks. Also head on over to her blog if you like finding new products to try as she’s always got favourites and wishlists and other fab things like that. She’s definitely my woman crush.

Sarah Speaks

Sarah is another one of those people who I immediately clicked with as soon as I started speaking to her, we have so much in common. Her and her dog Billy are two of my favourite people in the world. I’m always over on her blog because I always love her posts and her photography. Her OOTD’s are always super cute, and she’s also fab at nails, so I love seeing her creativity. Head on over to her blog now, or else!

Surely Char

Char could probably end up making me buy anything if I’m honest! I trust her recommendations wholeheartedly, and I know if she says something is good, then it most definitely is! I’ve bought so many amazing products because of her. Couple that with the fact she’s flipping amazing, and hilarious, then you get an awesome blog. Head on over to her blog for the best beauty and skincare reviews!

Bethany Worrall

Beth, my name twin is just the best. I always love her OOTD’s and her tweets always are guaranteed to make me laugh. She also always recommends the best products and her wishlists always make me want to buy more things. Everyone needs a bit of Beth in their life, so definitely head on over to her blog now!

Monica is the queen of the OOTD. Seriously, you need to go and check them out. Before any event we go to, I always run my outfit by her to get her opinion, as she always knows what goes best with what. She knows everything there is to know about fashion, so if you dig that, then definitely head on over to Monica’s blog!

Bethany is the creator of one of my favourite sets of posts so far this year. I’m always waiting for her 100 looks in 100 day posts, as they’re always so creative and amazing. There’s a selection of them below, but you need to go and check them all out as there’s about 46 more already! Honestly, amazing.

Rosie is another blogger that I immediately clicked with, and her blog pretty much does what it says on the tin. Food, books and beauty. Three of my favourite things! I love her blog because I love her writing style and the way she presents things, so hers is definitely one you need to add to your reading list!

My Potl

Ok, I’m going to put this out there, I want Laurie as my best buddy. Honestly, she’s one of the most hilarious people I’ve ever met and her blog, is equally hilarious. The premise of her blog started as being set up on blind dates by different family members and friends, but it’s evolved to so much more than that. This is one my favourite relationship blogs out there, which you definitely need to check out.

Penny is just lovely, plain and simple. I love her drive and dermination and her kindness. She’s had numerous articles published and is one of my favourite lifestyle bloggers. Check out her blog for fab recommendations, great writing and a bit of beauty, pets and fashion thrown in for good measure.

Katie from Scarphelia is so flipping cool, I honestly feel like the most awkward weirdo when I’m standing next to her. Her blog is one of my absolute favourites. She really makes you think which I love, and I’m in awe of her awesome projects, which you need to go and read about. She’s also gorgeous, so beware of inevitable jealously!

So there we go, 10 of my favourite bloggers! Who are your favourite bloggers?

Lots of love and squishes,

Mint Green & Cat Print Lovin’ – OOTD | Beauty In Beta

Howdy lovlies,

I think I am actually in love with Mint Green at the moment, like it’s unhealthy. My background is Mint Green, header has Mint Green in it. It’s getting out of control. So when I saw these Mint Green Skorts * from New Look I just had to have them. I paired them with my trusty cat shirt from ASOS. Yes, I am a crazy cat lady.. I also layered with this gorgeous lightweight White Kimono * also from New Look. I just love this Kimono because it’s so versatile and can pretty much go with anything. Lastly in my hair I have my favourite scrunchie from Beach Melba, and my necklace is from George at Asda. Ooo and if you’re interested, my nail varnish is ‘Breakfast In Bed’ by Rimmel.

A Big Ol’ Birthday Wishlist | Beauty In Beta

Howdy lovlies,

As my birthday is coming up next month, I thought it would be fun to do a Birthday wishlist, of all the things I’ve been lusting over recently. Some of these things are just so out of my price range, that my only hope is that someone with a bit more money loves me enough to buy it for me! So without further ado…..

Some Love For A Newbie Blog?| Beauty In Beta

Howdy lovlies,

I hope you are all well?

Well, it’s only awards season in the blogosphere and it’s so flipping exciting! I was having a look at the categories for the Cosmo Blog Awards, and was thinking to myself, there’s no way I can compete with all the amazing beauty, fashion and lifestyle blogs out there

But I thought, you never know things unless you try, so as my little space on the internet here is only still a baby (6 months old), I thought that I’d maybe give the ‘Best Newcomer’ category a go.

So, if you like my random ramblings, or are feeling especially generous, then please do pop on over to this link below, it takes just two seconds and I’d be so grateful!

That’s it really! I’m not going to keep harping on about this, but please do let me know if you give me a cheeky little vote, I’d love to say thanks!

Beth xx

Affordable Prescription Sunglasses – Specspost* | Beauty In Beta

Howdy lovlies,

Some of you may know that I am absolutely as blind as a bat. I am so hideously short sighted, so one thing that’s really important to me is getting the right glasses. Unfortunately for me, as my prescription is so strong, I find it hard to actually find anything that’s not insanely expensive, or to put it plainly, not fugly.  Recently before I was about to go away on my honeymoon I was worried about what I was going to do about sunglasses. Yes, I can wear contact lenses under the sunglasses, but what if I want to sunbathe and shut my eyes for a while? What if I want to go for a swim? That’s when I started to look into Prescription Sunglasses. It’s something I’d been thinking about for a while, but wherever I looked they were insanely expensive, or the frames were hideous. I kept having flashbacks of my prescription sunnies a la the mid 90s that were the thickest thing known to man and extremely round.

So, when I got the opportunity to try some from Specspost, I did a little cheer inside! Affordable + Nice Designs + Convenience = happy Beth. The idea behind Specspost is that you can get a few frames sent to you so you can try before you buy. So all you do is hop online, pick out the frames, Specspost will send them to you, and then they’ll make up the ones that you like! Simples! I love this, as I can’t be the only one who hates trying to pick glasses etc out at the shop while the person looms over you waiting for you to choose in a few minutes. These glasses are going to be on my face, I need more time! Leave me be!

I’d come across Specspost before and everyone is so lovely there, I knew that I could trust them to send me out a pair of sunglasses I’d love, and quickly! The pair that I have are the Mademoiselle Cats Eye Sunglasses and I am in love with them. Look how awesome they are. Ooo check me out with my fancy tropical background, oooo.

I love the detail on the back of these, the blue cloud effect just gives them a little bit extra on top of the plain black sunnies I normally opt for. They’re just the right size for my face, keeping the sun out enough, but not too big that they’re overpowering. Continue reading
